What is cavitation?
Cavitation is a non-surgical treatment for the painless removal of localized fat deposits using ultrasonic waves. The ultrasonic waves penetrate the skin and break down fat cells. The released fats are eliminated through the lymphatic system.
Cavitation with RF skin tightening
At Beauty Icon we work with the latest method that combines cavitation with RF (radiofrequency) skin tightening. The RF technique causes a contraction of the connective tissue and a softening of the epidermis. By first applying RF, the skin becomes firmer, so there is no loose skin after cavitation. Skin tightening can be applied to the entire body.

Results and expectations
Important: cavitation is intended for small localized fat deposits, not for large amounts of fat reduction. On average, 5 to 7 treatments are needed, once a week. After 6 treatments, the circumference can already be reduced by 12 to 15 centimeters. The treatment is safe, painless and permanent.

The procedure
How does it work?
Step 1: Intake and preparation
A consultation takes place beforehand. Although the treatment is safe, we only treat healthy individuals. During the intake we assess whether cavitation is the right treatment, explain the procedure and discuss contraindications. Photos are taken for your file. Tip: drink plenty of water before the treatment for proper fat elimination through the lymphatic system.
Step 2: The treatment
The treatment zones are marked on the body and coated with a special gel for ultrasonic wave conduction. First, RF (radiofrequency) is applied to tighten the skin. Then the cavitation device is slowly moved over the treatment area. You feel no pain — only a slight warm sensation. A treatment takes 20 to 40 minutes per zone.
Step 3: Aftercare
Drink a glass of water immediately after the treatment. Drink at least 2 liters of water throughout the day. Tip: squeeze half a lemon into 2 glasses of water, once a day. Optionally drink pure green tea for waste elimination. Important: exercise within 6 to 8 hours after the treatment to eliminate the released fats. After the recommended 6-10 treatments (once per week), a maintenance treatment can be done every 3 months.
Step 4: The result
A positive development in skin quality is noticeable after just a few days. The definitive result is visible after an average of 5 weeks. After 6 treatments, the circumference of the abdomen, buttocks and legs can be reduced by 12 to 15 centimeters. The result is permanent — the fat cells do not return.
