About the treatment
What is After-Lipo Massage?
During chin liposuction, fat is removed, but fluid collects under the skin to protect your tissue. This fluid causes pain, swelling, hardening and irregularities in your jawline and chin. The skin has detached from the tissue and needs to reattach. After surgery, the chin area is like clay that needs to be shaped into the right form.
Phase 1: Lymphatic Drainage
During the first sessions, we focus on activating the lymphatic system. Using lymphatic drainage techniques, we remove excess fluid, reducing swelling and accelerating recovery.
Phase 2: Shaping & Tightening
Once most of the fluid has been drained, the second phase begins: shaping the chin and jawline. During this phase, radiofrequency may also be used to tighten the skin and optimize results.
On average, 10 to 15 sessions are needed, depending on the procedure and your personal recovery. Best results are achieved by coming twice a week.
The procedure
How does it work?
Step 1: Intake & Treatment Plan
Before the first treatment, an intake consultation takes place. The therapist assesses your situation, creates a personal treatment plan and takes photos for your file. Tip: schedule your massages as soon as your surgery is confirmed, so you can start immediately after the procedure.
Step 2: Manual Lymphatic Drainage (sessions 1-6)
The first 5 to 6 treatments are performed entirely by hand. The therapist massages the chin and jawline to drain fluid through the lymphatic system. If necessary, the face is also treated if fluid is retained there.
Step 3: Radiofrequency & Shaping (session 6+)
After the initial phase, radiofrequency is introduced in consultation with you. This technique heats the deeper skin layers, stimulates collagen production and tightens the skin for a firmer, smoother result.
Step 4: Aftercare & Results
Drink plenty of water during your recovery period. Wear the compression band for the first weeks after surgery. Avoid sunbeds, sauna and swimming until your therapist gives the green light. After the complete treatment course, the skin is firmer, suppler and smoother.

What to expect
What can you expect?
Before treatment
Prior to the treatment, an intake consultation takes place. The practitioner determines what is possible and creates a treatment plan. Photos are taken for your file. Schedule your massages in advance — do this as soon as your procedure has been confirmed. It is best to start the after lipo massages for the chin area as soon as possible after your procedure.
During treatment
The practitioner treats you during the first 5 to 6 sessions by hand to properly drain the fluid. Your face is also frequently massaged if you retain fluid there as well. After a number of sessions, the practitioner will introduce radiofrequency treatment, always in consultation with the client. The treatments preferably take place 2 times per week for the best result. During the first massages, we focus on draining lymphatic fluid; once the fluid has reduced or disappeared, the shaping of the chin begins.
After treatment
It is important to drink plenty of water during your recovery. Wear the headband during the first weeks after the procedure to maintain continuous compression on the chin and neck. Furthermore, during your recovery you should not use tanning beds, visit the sauna or go swimming. On average, you need 10 to 15 sessions, but this can vary per person and procedure. You achieve the best result by repeating the massage 2 times per week.
